Du 23 janvier au14 avril 2013, le Ryerson Image Centre (Toronto) présentait Human Rights, Human Wrongs, exposition de photographies de la Black Star Collection autour des droits de l’homme dans la seconde moitié du 20ème siècle. Des reproductions petit formats de certaines images étaient à la disposition du public : au verso, des événements clés de chaque année sur ce sujet – ce qui m’a permis d’enlever les images les plus violentes pour les présenter aux élèves dans la médiathèque sous forme de mobile. Le dispositif, placé près du copieur, permettait d’attirer l’attention – les images étaient donc regardées (et les légendes lues !)
The Ryerson Image Centre (Toronto) exhibited Human Rights, Human Wrongs from January 23rd to April 14th, 2013) a series of photographs from the Black Star Collection about human rights in the second half of the 20th century. The visitors could pick up small reproductions of the photos; on the other side were listed events related to the topic – I grabbed this opportunity to take the less violent images and show them to the students in the library, displayed on a mobile. The device, hung by the copier, drew attention so the images were looked at (and the captions read!)
