IIIF week 2020

Eye heard

Patrick Bailly-Maître-Grand est un photographe plasticien. Il “se réapproprie les techniques des débuts de la photographie, comme la strobophotographie ou le daguerréotype.” Cette vidéo de quelques minutes, tournée dans son atelier, présente son travail et les techniques anciennes qu’il affectionne.

Patrick Bailly-Maître-Grand is a photographer and an artist. He “reclaims the techniques of early photography, such as strobophotography and daguerreotype.” This short video, shot in his studio, presents his work and the ancient techniques he has a fondness for.

Smartify est à la peinture ce que Shazam est à la musique : cette application pour téléphone permet, par reconnaissance visuelle, de connaître le nom d’un tableau – dans un musée, sur une affiche, une carte postale… De plus, l’application donne des informations sur le tableau et sur le peintre.

Smartify is to painting what Shazam is to music: using visual similarity, this telephone app will give you the name of a painting – in a museum, a poster, a postcard… Moreover, it gives information on the painting and the artist.
